Welcome!

Hi all! At last winters over! Now we have lighter evenings, warmer days and with it all, a chance to reflect on what PPF have been up to throughout the gloomy winter months.

Someone once said "If at first you don't succeed... So much for skydiving.”... But we have been far more successful in our aim to sort out the PPF financial situation and things are looking a lot better. My wartime frugality has paid off and we can now properly plan with much greater confidence.

Rhea and I continue to be out and about, shaking hands, smiling and raising the profile of PPF in local, regional and even national arenas. I hope to be able to set up a “blog” soon (how trendy) to let you know where we are and what we’re up to. Geoff and Justin have done a fabulous job at getting our new coffee drop-in off the ground and March's meet was fantastic if not a little icy as we sat on the terrace , but the "BOGOF" beers and coffees warmed the chill winds of the credit crunch .. So we hope to see more of you at this in coming months. Rhea is putting the finishing touches to the updated constitution, which will be tabled at the AGM in May and Chris our ICT guru has got PPF onto Facebook, so we enter a new era of online communities. And dont forget to watch out for more news on the LGBT theatre group and the Gay -Reading group

Finally a word of warning about this sudden taste of spring... a foray into my garden in one of my rare Gertrude Jekyll inspired moments have left me with a wonky ladder, crushed herbaceous and a dramatically bruised derrière.

Warmest wishes
Alan
